Travel from Nairobi by road (4–5 hours) or take the SGR train to Emali station followed by a transfer.

Afternoon game drive around the marshlands where elephants, buffalo, and birds gather around permanent swamps fed by underground water from Kilimanjaro.

Early morning drive for clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is usually most visible at dawn before clouds appear.

Visit Observation Hill, the only place in the park where visitors can leave their vehicle and enjoy a 360° view of the plains, swamps, and wildlife below.

Spend the day exploring swamps and open savannah where large elephant families gather.

Final sunrise game drive — one of the best moments for photography as wildlife is active and the golden light illuminates the plains.
